How we got started:
In the spring of 1983, with the help of my parents, we built our first greenhouse. In the early years, annuals and vegetables plus a few hanging baskets are what filled our greenhouses.But, we found that there was a need for perennials in many sizes, so we expanded our plant selection to include these. We started our first display gardens in the mid 90's and found we were missing the ever popular shade plant, Hosta. So, with the addition of these to our plant collection, we now carry over 160 different types, as well as many other shade loving plants.Our gardens now spread throughout the property which is filled with hundreds of perennials as well as assorted conifers, Japanese maples and other exotic plants. The gardens are open for all to see and are now included in bus tours and garden clubs.I thank my parents for helping me achieve my dream of owning my own business. We are celebrating twenty-five years in business in 2008. Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to seeing you in the spring. Dennis James
